We have also done a great deal of 'Sub-Safe' work, producing components that pass through the submarine's hull. These parts require very strict manufacturing, material, and quality requirements/records. A sample of the systems we have supplied components for are the Trident subs, Sonar buoys, F15 jet, M1 Tank, Bradley Fighting Vehicle, and for various missiles systems, including Patriot, Maverick, Nike, Hawk and Sparrow. Therefore, we are very familiar with the various requirements associated with military contracts.
As a JIT supplier for the precision industrial and semi-conductor markets, we have implemented the necessary quality systems required for quick response and consistency. This work requires us to produce Certified Parts, to ship from our stock to the customer's production floor. Using the tools of SPC and capability studies, consistent shop floor documentation, and check sheets, we have maintained excellent quality standings with these customers.
We received our ISO 9002 certification (#99-1341 ITS) in January of 1999, and in November of 2002 were certified to the latest standard, ISO 9001:2000 (#Acc-1005-02-9001:2K). We have also earned the Aerospace AS9100 certification. Bendon employs continuous improvement activities to eliminate waste and variations in our process.
